GardenSupplies.co.uk has been developed to offer a hassle-free, user-friendly experience for all visitors, with the implementation of secure technologies to offer complete transaction security and peace of mind.
The provision of excellent customer service is at the core of our operation, with dedication to your total satisfaction our primary concern.
Delivery
Our standard delivery charge to UK mainland is just £4.95, regardless of the number of items purchased or the value of your order.
We aim to deliver all goods within 5 working days for those items in stock, with dispatch usually between 1-2 days. For goods that are not in stock, delivery will be made within 10 working days. However, all orders are guaranteed to be delivered within 28 days.
International delivery is available upon request, but will be subject to an additional charge.
Delivery Methods
In order to continue to provide a hassle-free service from order confirmation to the delivery of your goods, we have instructed our carriers to, in instances whereby you are unable to accept the delivery of your goods at the time of initial delivery, to leave your parcel(s) within the boundaries of your premises, in a safe and out-of-sight manner. The carrier will also post a card through your door, documenting the attempted delivery time, and detailing the whereabouts of your goods.
Whereas we do accept that a certain risk is attached to this procedure, we believe that the timely delivery of your goods is of utmost importance, and understand the potential frustrations of attempting to organise a redelivery.
Return & Exchange Policy
As addressed by the Distance Selling Regulations, developed by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and the Department for Business, Enterprise, and Regulatory Return (BERR), you have the right to return products within 7 working days of receiving the goods, providing that the product(s) has/have not been used or removed from the original packaging.
If an item has been damaged in transit, is deemed faulty, or you have been sent an incorrect item, we will arrange for the collection of the item by our carriers, or request that such is returned to us via Royal Mail. In this instance, we will be happy to refund any postage costs incurred.
If, however, you have changed your mind as to the suitability of the product, you will be liable for the cost of returning such to us. Please be advised that we cannot be responsible for parcels that are damaged or lost on route to gardensupplies.co.uk.
The decision to issue a refund is made purely at our discretion, based upon whether we deem the goods to be in a resaleable condition.
You are required to inform gardensupplies.co.uk of your decision to return the goods via writing, by e-mail, fax, or letter.
Once prompted to do so, we will either liaise with our carriers to pick up the goods and return them to gardensupplies.co.uk, or request that you take the item to your local Post Office. Refunds will be made within 10 working days from the receipt of goods back to gardensupplies.co.uk.
If an item has been damaged in transit, you must notify gardensupplies.co.uk within 48 hours of receipt of the goods.
Please note that products within the following categories are delivered directly from the manufacturer of those goods and we are bound by the terms and conditions of the specific supplier, which are available upon request: Barbecues, Garden Furniture, Garden Games, Electric Machinery, Lawn Mowers and Wheelbarrows.
Faulty Goods
In the event of goods being defective upon receipt, items will be replaced or refunded following inspection, providing gardensupplies.co.uk are notified in writing within 7 working days of receiving the goods.
If the goods are deemed faulty after the expiration of the initial 7 working day time span, gardensupplies.co.uk will adhere to manufacturer provided warranties, and will follow individual processes to exchange or fix the products under the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. The total liability of the sale of contract is limited to the monies paid by the purchaser, and, therefore, we cannot be held responsible for any indirect, consequential, or special loss.
Online Transaction Security
We understand the principle importance of online transaction security and adopt the very latest technologies to comply with all appropriate regulations and legislation, offering complete peace of mind.
Sage Pay (formerly Protx), our payment gateway, utilises 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption for all transmitted data, ensuring that access or modification to sensitive information by third parties is not possible.
Sage Pay (formerly Protx) encrypt all data stored on their servers, and are regularly audited by banks and banking authorities. All links made to the banking network by Sage Pay (formerly Protx) are not publically accessible, and any cardholder information sent to, and received from, banks is completely secure, and all Sage Pay (formerly Protx) members of staff are unable to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data.
Sage Pay (formerly Protx) are audited by Trustwave – an independent qualified security assessor (QSA) and approved scanning vendor (ASV) - to ensure that all systems are up-to-date with the latest encryption and security standards, and that such complies fully with the stringent policies and standards set out by participating card schemes.
Sage Pay (formerly Protx) are also fully approved as a Level 1 compliant under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI), which is the highest level of compliance.
Data Security & Privacy Policy
We guarantee that any transmitted personal details will be kept both safely and securely, and, as we adhere to strict data protection policies, we promise that your information will not be compromised or passed to third parties for unsolicited marketing purposes.

Complaints Procedure
Any complaints made regarding the services provided by gardensupplies.co.uk will be treated with the utmost significance, and dealt with in a confidential and fair manner. Our intention is to resolve such issues within a maximum of 5 working days from the receipt of the complaint.
Price
Prices featured on gardensupplies.co.uk are correct at the time of publishing. We retain the right to alter and amend any price without prior notice.
Cancelling Orders
In the event of you wishing to cancel an order following a completed transaction, please contact us with the order reference number. Credit and debit cards will be refunded within 5 working days. If, however, an order has been dispatched from gardensupplies.co.uk, please see our return and exchange policy above.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation 2006 (WEEE) - Statutory Instrument 2006 No. 3289. Like for Like Take-Back Service
If you're buying a new electrical item, we will recycle your old one for free on a like-for-like basis.
Garden Supplies Ltd is obliged under the regulations listed above to offer our customers free take-back of their old electrical equipment on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.
As part of our legal obligations and our commitment to helping to preserve our environment, we are advising you not to throw electrical equipment in your general household rubbish bin. This is because:

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK’s fastest growing type of waste.

Electrical equipment can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment.

If we do not recycle electrical equipment, it will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.
How this works for our customers:
For example, if a customer bought a new heated propagator from us, we will accept them returning their old heated propagator to us on this take-back system. By disposing of it safely ourselves, we will prevent it from going to a landfill site.
Unwanted Electrical Equipment that is eligible on a take-back basis should be returned to us within 28 days of purchasing your new product. As we are an online company only, it is the responsibility of the customer to transport, or to pay for postage of, the unwanted electrical equipment to the following address:

Garden Supplies Limited will then make arrangements for these goods to be re-used, recycled or disposed of safely.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol (shown left) in order to encourage the recycling of electronic equipment.
Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
